Health Concerns We Support

Many patients come to Walton Street Wellness in Oxford because they are experiencing changes in their health or wellbeing and would like to better understand what may be contributing to these concerns.

Our approach focuses on exploring the factors that influence long-term health, including lifestyle, metabolic health, hormonal balance and overall wellbeing. Through careful assessment and personalised guidance, consultations aim to help patients better understand their health and identify practical steps that support long-term wellbeing.

Patients seek consultations for a range of reasons, including fatigue, changes in weight, hormonal concerns, preparation for pregnancy, or simply a desire to take a more proactive approach to their health.

Fatigue and Low Energy

Persistent tiredness or reduced energy levels are common concerns and can be influenced by factors such as sleep quality, stress, nutrition, metabolic health or underlying medical conditions.

Consultations aim to explore potential contributing factors and identify practical steps that may support improved energy levels and overall wellbeing.

Weight and Metabolic Health

Changes in weight can occur for many reasons, including metabolic changes, hormonal influences, lifestyle factors and stress.

For some patients, a consultation may help identify the underlying drivers of weight change. Where appropriate, patients may benefit from our medical weight management service, which provides structured clinical support for weight and metabolic health.

Hormone Health

Hormonal changes can affect many aspects of health, including mood, energy levels, sleep and weight.

Consultations may explore hormonal health alongside lifestyle and metabolic factors, helping to identify whether further investigation or targeted support may be helpful.

Preparing for Pregnancy

Many individuals and couples choose to review their health before trying to conceive.

A preventative health consultation can provide an opportunity to explore lifestyle factors, nutritional status and overall health in order to support well-being prior to pregnancy.

Mood, Stress and Emotional Wellbeing

Mental wellbeing is closely linked with physical health. Sleep, nutrition, movement and stress levels can all influence mood and resilience.

Lifestyle medicine consultations aim to explore these factors and identify practical strategies that may support emotional wellbeing alongside overall health.

Blood Testing and Health Monitoring

In some cases, blood testing may help provide further insight into metabolic health, hormone levels or nutritional status.

Where appropriate, testing may be recommended as part of a preventative health consultation to help guide personalised recommendations.

Taking a Proactive Approach to Health

Some patients seek consultation simply because they want to take a more proactive approach to their long-term health.

Preventative health consultations provide an opportunity to review lifestyle factors such as nutrition, sleep, physical activity and stress, and to develop personalised strategies that support long-term wellbeing.
