Blood Testing & Health Assessments

Many people are told their blood results are “normal” — yet still don’t feel well.

At Walton Street Wellness, we use blood testing as part of a clinical, whole-person assessment, helping you understand what’s happening beneath the surface and what it means for your health.

Symptoms such as fatigue, weight changes, low energy, sleep disruption or hormonal concerns often have underlying physiological causes.

Blood testing allows us to explore key markers of:

  • Metabolic health and blood sugar regulation

  • Cardiovascular risk

  • Hormone balance

  • Nutritional status

But results are only meaningful when interpreted in context to support meaningful, lasting improvements to you health. By combining laboratory testing with a detailed clinical consultation, we can better understand the factors influencing your health and develop a personalised plan to support improvement.

We do not offer unnecessary or excessive testing. All investigations are clinically guided and discussed with you first.

Understanding your health often begins with the right investigations.

Our assessments are designed to give a clearer picture of your metabolic health, cardiovascular risk, hormonal balance and nutritional status. These assessments provide a structured overview of your health, helping us to identify patterns that may not be immediately obvious.

Areas we may explore include:

• cholesterol and cardiovascular risk
• blood sugar regulation and metabolic health
• thyroid function
• nutritional markers
• inflammation
• hormone health where appropriate

This information helps guide personalised recommendations around lifestyle, nutrition and clinical management.

All blood tests include phlebotomy and are selected based on clinical discussion.

We usually recommend a consultation first so that any testing is clinically appropriate and relevant to your symptoms and health goals. In some cases, targeted blood testing may be arranged without a full consultation.

Your clinical will take a detailed history and discuss your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle factors and health goals. Where appropriate, we may recommend blood testing to investigate relevant metabolic, hormonal, cardiovascular or nutritional markers.

Once results are available, they are reviewed and we will clearly explain your results and guide you on next steps. This may include treatment, further investigations, or personalised lifestyle recommendations.

Do make sure you are well hydrated to make it easier to draw the sample. Some tests require fasting or specific preparation. Clear instructions will be provided if testing is recommended.

If you’re unsure, our team is always happy to guide you.

No. You do not need a GP referral to arrange blood testing at Walton Street Wellness.

We recommend starting with a consultation so that any testing is clinically appropriate and aligned with your symptoms and health goals. If you have already had blood tests requested elsewhere, you can book a phlebotomy only appointment for sample collection.
